Test Formats
All tests must be given in a proctored setting to ensure that the test taker's identity is verified, and to prevent the test taker from carrying any reference materials or helping aids into the test session, or removing any of the testing materials from the testing session.
The prices are the same as for online and a paper-and-pencil tests.
Features of Online Tests
The test results are available to the test administrator immediately. These results show the number of items correct in each of the different sections of the test, along with a national percentile ranking for the test total.
The number of test takers is limited to the number of dedicated computers available at the same time.
Features of Paper-and-Pencil Tests
The test results are hand- or machine-scored by the test administrator or a 3rd party. Tests that are hand scored will show the number of items correct in each different section of the test and a total test score. Test administered using separate answer sheets may be machine scored, with results usually available the same day. The results provided show test section scores and percentile ranking. The Administration and Scoring Manual shows national percentile ranks.
Large groups can be tested at the same time, with at least one administrator assigned to proctor each group of 20 test takers.

Q: Do you grant access to individual test takers?
A: No. We only sell our products to appropriate and verified company personnel. We require all first time customers to
call and discuss their testing needs.
Q: What are the system requirements?
A: One of the following browsers must be used: Internet Explorer 6.0 , Firefox 1.0 , Netscape 6.x , or Safari 1.5 .
Additionally, the computer's screen resolution must be at least 1024x768, popup blocking must be disabled for www.ramsaycorp.com
and Javascript must be enabled within the browser (this is a default in the above browsers).
Q: How do I register to use the Online Testing Center?
A: If you have never purchased from us before, please call us at (412) 257-0732 to discuss your
testing needs.
If you have previously purchased from us, please follow the link on
the right menu titled Register. We will verify your information and that you have purchased from us and grant you access
to our tests within 24 hours.
Q: After I register, how long will it take for my account to be activated?
A: Due to our verification process we attempt to grant you access to our system within 24 business hours.
If we cannot verify your identity we will contact you for further clarification.
Q: How do I purchase tests for use online?
A: You order tests through the same process as ordering paper and pencil products. The online testing catalog is located on the left-size categories menu title Online Tests. Under this category, our complete catalog of online tests is available. You can add these tests to your cart and proceed to checkout. You must have an account to complete the order. Once the order has been placed, we will process the order and the tests will appear in your account.
Q: What payment methods does your company accept?
A: Ramsay Corporation accepts company purchase orders, Visa, Mastercard, and American Express.
Q: How soon after purchasing tests can I use them?
A: Tests will be available after your order has been processed and completed.
Q: How do I give a test?
A: You assign tests from the Administration page once you are logged in. Each user is given a unique
Login ID and password. The test taker logs into the system at http://www.ramsaycorp.com/onlinetesting/login.aspx
and can begin testing.
Q: What happens if a testing session is interrupted or terminated for some reason?
A: If for any reason an error occurs during testing, the test taker can go back to the test launch page
and click "Begin Test". The test will resume from where it was interrupted. No responses will be lost.
Q: If the time runs out during a timed test, what happens?
A: If the test taker does not complete the test in the allotted time, the test will automatically close and
score the the test with the responses that have been completed. Untimed tests are not automatically terminated.
Q: What happens when a person completes a test?
A: The test is scored and the user is returned to the home page. The test administrator will have access to the test results
within moments. Administrators can provide results to test takers.
Q: How fast are test results available and where are they displayed?
A: Test results are available to the test administrators from the Administration console as soon as tests are completed. Results are located in "Test Results" tab of the Administration
console.
Q: How are results displayed?
A: Results are shown on a webpage that can be printed. They can also be exported to Excel.
Q: Can results be exported?
A: Yes, results can be exported to Excel.
Q: What information is displayed in the results?
A: The test taker's total score, local percentile rank, and national percentile rank. If the test contains
subsections, the subsection score and percentile ranks are also displayed.
Q: What is the local percentile rank?
A: The local percentile rank is the test taker's score ranked against other test takers in your account.
Q: What is the national percentile rank?
A: The national percentile rank is the test taker's score ranked against all test takers in our national database.
