NEW PRODUCTS:

  • Ramsay Corporation's PLC Test has been selected as a finalist in Plant Engineering's Product-of-the-Year Awards Competition. This test contains 50 questions in the categories of PLC & I/O Basics, Ladder Logic, Programming Basics, Peripherals & Systems, and Troubleshooting. It is available in paper-and-pencil format as well as online.
  • Most of our off-the-shelf tests are now available for online administration. Please call if you would like more detailed information about online administration. Custom-made tests may also be administered online.
  • We have recently developed a Bus Mechanic Test measuring skills and knowledge for diesel bus mechanics. This 60-item test is available for $21 each in packages of 20.
  • We are currently translating our C Mechanic Evaluation Test into Spanish and Vietnamese. Please call our office for details and prices.

MAINTENANCE TESTS:

  • Bart Fisher, Engineering Manager at Colgate-Palmolive Company engaged us to conduct a validation study of our Multi-CrafTest for the job of Technical Technician for a new plant being built in Morristown, TN.
  • At Emerson Network Power, Andrea Vicars, Manager, Training & Development in Westerville, OH, asked us to custom-design a knowledge and skills test for Customer Engineers. The assessment will be administered (proctored) and scored online on our website: www.ramsaycorp.com.
  • Jair Furnas, Human Resources at Alcoa Intalco Works in Ferndale, WA, engaged us to conduct validation studies for tests for Instrument and Communication Technicians, Millwrights and Electricians.
  • We made and validated an alternate form of Maintenance Technician Test for Human Resources Manager, Danny Adkins, at Haverhill North Coke Co. in Franklin Furnace, OH.
  • Pamela S. Thompson, PHR, Alcoa Warrick Operations in Newburgh, IN, hired us to validate tests for Facilities Maintenance Mechanic, Machinist, and Roll Grinder.
  • Jim Conn, Manager, Organization Development, used our services in a cut score analysis for Systems Repair at Allegheny Ludlum Corporation in Brackenridge, PA.
  • At Alcoa Rockdale Operations, Rhonda Simank, Apprentice Supervisor, requested a study of the corporate Electrician test for use at their Texas plant.
  • In Rome, GA at Kellogg's Snacks, Gigi Binion, Employee Relations Manager, asked us to conduct validation studies of tests for Maintenance Electrician and Maintenance Mechanic.
  • Robert Grant, Sr. Staff Specialist, requested validation work for Transportation Mechanic at PPL Training Center in Allentown, PA.
  • At Reliant Energy, John Fibbi, Testing and Training Specialist, used our services in validation of a pre-employment hiring assessment for Electrical and Instrumentation Technicians at facilities across the USA.
  • Eric Tuley, Operations Manager at Tower Automotive in Chicago, IL, utilized our services in validation of alternate equivalent test forms of maintenance tests at two levels.
  • At PPL, Inc. in Allentown, PA, Paul Ward, Manager, Technical Training & Development, contracted with us to provide assessments for entry into various Skilled Trades. We developed assessments for the Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, and Operations job families.

PRODUCTION TESTS:

  • Donna Seltveit, Director of Human Resources at American Crystal Sugar in Moorhead, MN, employed us to conduct a validation study of basic skills tests to be used as selection tools for several levels of Process Technician.
  • At Kellogg's Memphis, TN plant, Gus Gipson, Human Resource Manager, used our services in an update of a pre-employment test battery for entry-level Production Operations Trainee.
  • Eileen Clancy, Director HR Department at Lamson and Sessions in Cleveland, OH, secured our assistance in validation of tests for Production Operators at several plants where job duties were the same. The basic skills test battery included Reading, Arithmetic and Inspection & Measurement assessments.
  • Joanne Babaian, Manager – Human Resources/Labor Relations at Mittal Steel in Conshohocken, PA, requested test validation services in skills and knowledge tests for Operating Technicians in clerical and administrative job activities.
